Charkeitha Ramey is the Founder and Director of Xplosive Cheer and Dance Company. Ms. Ramey, is a native of Dallas, TX, where she attended schools for the performing arts such as W. E. Greiner Exploratory Arts Academy and Booker T. Washington High School of Visual and Performing Arts. She then went on to attend Grambling State University where she danced and eventually become the captain of the Orchesis Dance Company. She was a principal dancer for Exhibit Dance Collectives, a modern dance company in Dallas, TX. She went on to create Xplosive Cheer and Dance Company in 2010, for inner city kids who had hopes of wanting to be a trained dancer, but did not have the money for private dance classes or the skills required to attend free public offered classes. In addition to Xplosive Cheer and Dance Company, Ms. Ramey was the former Head Dance Coach for the Blue Belles of Wilmer-Hutchins High School. She is currently the Head Dance Coach for the Troubs of J. F. Kimball High School, and recently became the Head Director of the Texas College Dance line.
Latoria Chatman
Latoria Chatman is a native of Dallas, TX. She is the sister to Charkeitha Ramey. Latoria was a cheerleader at Justin F. Kimball High School. She also holds numerous pageant titles such as, Miss Black TX and Miss Collin County. Cheer has been a passion for Latoria for many years. As her passion grew she teamed up with her sister to develop Xplosive Cheer. Latoria is USASF certified. As Xplosive Dance Company began to grow, many request came in about starting a cheer company as well. In 2013 Ms. Chatman started the cheer side of Xplosive Dance Company with 7 girls, and changing the name to Xplosive Cheer and Dance Company. Over the last 4 years she has grown the Xplosive Cheer Company to 60+ members. Xplosive Cheer Company has recently competed on a national level in 2017 and won their first 1st-place national cheer title.
